PNGAAV’s Market Day a Success at Darling Gardens

The Papua New Guinea Australia Association of Victoria (PNGAAV) held a vibrant and successful Market Day at Darling Gardens, Clifton Hill, on Saturday, 26th April 2025.

Despite the unpredictable weather, our amazing community showed up in full spirit!

The gardens came alive with a variety of stalls selling delicious PNG food, beautiful clothing, handcrafted jewelry, and many other unique items. It was wonderful to see people browsing, connecting, and celebrating our culture.

We were especially honored to welcome special guest Stanley Nandex and his PNG Head Hunter Team, who made a special visit to support the event. Their presence added extra excitement and pride to the day.

Palm Scheme workers traveled from all over Victoria to join us, and the sounds of music, laughter, and kids playing soccer and badminton filled the park. It was a true celebration of community, culture, and connection.

A huge thank you to all the stallholders, volunteers, and everyone who came out to make this Market Day a success. We look forward to more events like this in the future!
